Refund policy

AX Performance sells performance-based and build-to-order products. Please review this policy carefully before placing an order.


Order Cancellations

  • Orders may be canceled before processing begins with little or no fee.

  • Once an order has entered processing, building, programming, testing, or preparation, a restocking fee of 15%–30% will apply.

  • The restocking fee percentage depends on:

    • The item ordered

    • Labor already completed

    • Customization or testing performed

    • Payment processing and operational costs


Refunds

  • Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method unless store credit is requested.

  • Refund processing times vary by payment provider and typically take 5–10 business days after approval.

  • Shipping costs are non-refundable once an item has shipped.

  • Refunds requested due to:

    • Change of mind

    • Impatience with build or shipping time

    • Failure to read product descriptions or policies
      are subject to the 15%–30% restocking fee.


Store Credit

  • Customers may choose store credit instead of a refund.

  • Store credit:

    • Does not expire

    • Can be used on any AX Performance product

    • May reduce or eliminate restocking fees (at AX Performance’s discretion)

  • Store credit is issued to the customer account/email used at checkout.


Returns

  • Returns must be approved before sending any product back.

  • Returned items must be:

    • Unused and uninstalled

    • In original packaging

    • In resellable condition

  • Used, installed, modified, or damaged items are not eligible for return.

  • Return shipping costs are the customer’s responsibility, unless the return is due to an error on our end.


Custom & Built-to-Order Items

The following items are considered custom or build-intensive and have stricter return conditions:

  • Controllers

  • Batteries

  • Battery bases

  • Motors

  • Wiring harnesses or plug-and-play kits

Once these items have been built, programmed, tested, or assembled, they are not eligible for a full refund. A partial refund or store credit may be offered at AX Performance’s discretion.


Shipping & Delivery

  • Many AX Performance products require build and testing time before shipment.

  • Shipping can take 2–7 weeks, depending on the item ordered.

    • Controllers may take longer

    • Smaller items (throttles, lights, accessories) typically ship sooner

  • Lithium batteries are subject to carrier regulations, which may result in slower transit times.

  • Shipping estimates are not guaranteed delivery dates.

  • AX Performance is not responsible for carrier delays, weather delays, or holiday-related slowdowns.


Refused or Undeliverable Packages

  • Orders refused or returned to sender may be subject to:

    • Original shipping cost

    • Return shipping cost

    • Applicable restocking fees


Damaged or Incorrect Orders

  • Any issues must be reported within 48 hours of delivery.

  • Photos and order details are required to process claims.


Chargebacks

  • Filing a chargeback without contacting AX Performance first may delay resolution.

  • We encourage customers to reach out so we can resolve issues directly and efficiently.
